MawMaw and PawPaw came to visit for Labor Day. We enjoyed their visit. Although it rained several days, we managed to have plenty of indoor activities to keep us busy. One day the sun came out and we were able to go outside. Andy helped PawPaw do a job in the backyard. They picked up pieces of cement around our patio so Daddy doesn't hit it with his lawnmower.

Here Andy and Catie are playing trains. She is now sitting up (with some assistance) and loves Andy's trains and cars!

Billy and I went to Chicago and had a blast. Here is a picture of where we stayed...The Peninsula. We went to the Field Museum, went to the top of the Sears Tower (now the Willis Tower), went to a Cubs vs Braves baseball game and ate at some wonderful restaurants.

I can't believe she's already able to sit and enjoy her bumbo!

This week, we are having VBS at church! It has been a great week...so far and we still have a few days to go. Andy is having a blast and has enjoyed being in the 3 year old class. When I ask him what he has learned for the day, he replies, "Mommy I learn about Jesus." Oh how sweet to hear that and thank you Jesus for his teachers that are teaching them the truth! My little Andy is growing up... Catie has also enjoyed her time in the nursery...a little swing time and time on her play mat! They both have had a good time while Mommy helps teach a classroom full of 2nd graders.

Andy enjoyed playing with Daddy's and Uncle Moon's old trucks and cars. Here there was a "big" crash! He's so dramatic...wonder where he gets that from??? And then Andy enjoyed helping PawPaw grill MawMaw a wonderful "happy retirement" meal. We are so excited for MawMaw and thankful for the time she invested in children's lives.

I attempted to take come pictures of the two little ones and well...this is as good as it got.

Mom's last day of work! At their faculty breakfast, she was recognized for 25 1/2 years of teaching...(what a great accomplishment) and then we all surprised her with beautiful roses and four smiling faces! Mom, we are so proud of you and all the lives you have touched!

While we were in Luling, we headed to the Children's Museum. Here are a few shots of the things Andy really enjoyed doing while we were there. He had a blast...so did Catie as she slept the whole time we were there.

We also headed downtown and road the streetcar. It was fun and yes, Catie slept the whole time!

Mother's Day!

This morning before we left for church, Andy asked if he could hold Catie and for me to take some pictures of them!!!

Mother's Day was absolutely wonderful...we had a wonderful day at church and then enjoyed some family time at home. Being a mommy is so rewarding and such a huge responsibility. Billy and I are adjusting to our little family of 4 and getting used to the busyness. Catie is now 5 weeks old and is growing so fast. She is smiling more and more and has started giggling this past week. We've noticed what triggers her giggling is when she lays on her play mat and watches the star that plays music and changes colors. Her greatest fan and the one that is showing his affection more and more is her big brother. Andy just adores Catie Claire. He is always wanting to help with her and is constantly hugging and kissing her. Thank you again Lord for a smooth transition and two little blessings!!!

Yay our little Catie Claire has arrived! I went into the hospital on April 8, 2011 at 5:00am to be induced. Catie made her arrival at 6:15pm. She weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. (which is exactly what Andy weighed) and was 20 1/2 in. long. We are so thankful for our little miracle! She is now 2 weeks old and weighs 8 lbs. 7oz. She's doing great and changing in looks already! Andy has been such a big helper and loves his baby sister! He helps get diapers, wipes, and poopy bags. He turns her swing on and off as well as the music. He likes to make her smile and tickles her check when she is crying. He's such a sweet little guy!

Here are a few pictures of Catie's nursery. A good friend of mine painted her name using wooden letters. It came out absolutely adorable! I have another good friend working on two canvas paintings that will go above her changing table. We are down to two weeks or less until the Gothreaux's go from a family of three to a family of four! Thank you Jesus for family and children!

We were all actually ready early Sunday morning(which is not common) so before heading to Sunday school, we decided to take a few snap shots!

Andy was helping read the directions to Billy as Billy was putting our new coffee table together! Andy is our little helper and was right in the middle of all our projects we had going on that day!

Here's Andy's new room...we're still waiting on a friend to finish up a few canvas painting to go on the wall above his bed.

It's official, Andy is now in a big boy bed...it was quite sad moving him out of his crib and into his big bed. Needless to say, Andy loves his big boy bed and loves the fact that we are always referring to him as a Big Boy now!

Before Baby Girl Gothreaux arrives, there are several things "I" would like Andy to transition to and moving him to a big bed was the first one on my list! I say "I" because some things on my list might be wishful thinking on my part. He's doing pretty well with staying in his bed during the night...he usually only gets up once and then back to his bed "WE" go! So...right now the challenge is trying to have him stay in his bed all night! But in the midst of focusing on getting the new sleeping situation perfected...we lost paci somewhere in the house. Uh oh...that was our last pacifier and I wasn't sure what we were going to experience not having it once we went to bed that night. Well Andy helped us search high and low throughout the house looking for his "pa pa" but unfortunately we were all unsuccessful in finding it! But when bed time came, he asked for it a couple of times, but I repeatedly reminded him that we was a Big Boy now and that he really didn't need it any longer! So we are now 1 day away from not having our papa for a week now! It has been so good and such an unexpected accomplishment! Thank you Lord for providing this opportunity for change and transition to occur so smoothly! But on a side note, I did find the lost pacifier under the curtains...and it is hidden in a special place now! HA!

LATE...but not forgotten

Ok so it's already February and I'm just now getting around to uploading my December pictures...what have I been doing with all my time? Hum??? I just don't know. HA! Well needless to say, Christmas was wonderful and getting to spend it with both families was an added bonus.

We were in Eunice the week of Christmas and Monday we decided to take a little drive to Baton Rouge. We had a great time showing Andy the State Capital. He LOVED climbing all the stairs and then once we got to the top of the capital it was time for Andy's history lesson! Daddy sure loved telling him all about it and enjoyed showing us where he used to work.

Of course we had to stop and see Mike before heading back to Eunice. What a great day!

Here we are on Christmas morning at MawMaw and PawPaw's house. This Christmas Andy was more into his gifts...more so then the wrapping paper like last year.

Thanks to Aunt Sheena, Uncle Micah, J, and Z, Andy really has enjoyed his rain gear!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PUG!!! While we were all together in Luling, we decided to celebrate Dad's birthday a few days early. Jaylin and Andy loved tip-toeing with the cupcake as we sang Happy Birthday to Dad! They enjoyed passing out the cupcakes to everyone as well! They were funny to watch!!!

Here we are making Rudolph by tracing our hands and foot...poor Andy's Rudolph needs a little help though. HA! He really enjoyed his hands and feet getting traced so we have LOTS of pages with hand and feet prints.

Well since the weather has been a little too chilly for Andy (and me) to play outside, we have been doing some fun and creative Christmas activities in doors. These were some little Christmas crafts I used to do with my first graders and Andy really has enjoyed doing them as well...well he likes to paint and glue...what kid doesn't-right?

Alright I'm not sure where or what inspired Andy to do this, but a couple nights ago he and Billy were playing in the house. All of a sudden Andy decided to pull his pants down and starting dying laughing. It's a little crazy I know...but Andy thought it was absolutely one of the funniest things ever. He even stayed still for me to take his picture. CRAZY! Oh and check out his hair! When he woke up from his nap, he was kicking a mo hawk. Billy swears this is my child all the way, but I just don't know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Andy found my yoga mat in my closet. He played cars and trucks on the mat for a LONG time. The next pic is the train table Billy and I got him for his birthday.

Well this post is long over due considering Andy's birthday was November 17! HA!!! But here are some pictures of Andy's big day and his big "Toot Toot" birthday party! Andy had a wonderful day and had a blast playing with all his friends and family on LSU's campus for his party. It was so good to get together with everyone and catch up...thank you Lord for awesome weather too!!! Billy made a mean jambalaya and big pot of white beans...oh so good!

Saturday's game was by far one of the best games the Tiger's have played this season and we were there to witness the great effort played by the Tigers. This Halloween, Andy dressed up as Super Man! He was by far the cutest little Super Man ever... We had a blast Wednesday night (Oct. 27) at our church's Trunk or Treat. Andy enjoyed playing games, eating 2 hot dogs and chips, and plenty of suckers!!! We then took him to a near-by neighborhood to do some trick or treating Saturday night. He enjoyed the outing, but I think Momma enjoyed the candy a whole lot more then Andy!!! I guess being preggo, I wanted some yummy candy...Poor Andy-his candy bag was quite picked over within just a few days!!!

This year, Andy and I decided to paint our pumpkin, Jack before we carved him up! Andy absolutely loves to paint so getting to paint a big orange pumpkin was oh so much fun! Once the paint dried, we scooped and cleaned out our pumpkin. Daddy was real impressed with Mommy's carving skills when he came home from work and saw our finished product. HA!!! This year, we also toasted some of the pumpkin seeds. Andy was so disappointed when he ate the last one and realized there were no more. He really enjoyed hearing himself "crunch crunch" as he ate the seeds. Andy and Mommy had a great time together!

Two weekends ago, we headed to the Pumpkin Patch. What a great time...well we did once our little guy woke up. Andy had fallen asleep on the way to the pumpkin patch (because we kind of got lost! HA!). It took Andy a little while to "wake up" but once he did, he had a good time. He hated to leave. His favorite things were playing in the cotton, corn kernels, and in this old red truck. We thought he'd love going for a pony ride but he just watched as they rode by...maybe next year!

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!! Billy and I are excited to announce that there's going to be another little Gothreaux running around our house! I'm thrilled to say that I'm 11 weeks along and Andy's going to be a big brother April 12 (or around that time!)!!!! These three pictures didn't quite come out like I had planned or hoped...guess that's what you can expect when you're dealing with a 22 month year old. HA!!!

Labor Day weekend, we headed to Duncan, OK for Jaylin's (my niece) 2nd birthday party! Before we made it to Duncan, we stayed the night in Little Rock and was able to catch up with some of our Arkansas friends! It was great to see Kaye and Joe...they couldn't get over how much Andy had changed and grown. It's been almost a year since we've moved to Columbus...how time flies by!

Once we arrived in Duncan, Andy was nonstop...I would be too after an 11 hour car ride! HA!!! He had such a great time playing with Jaylin, Zander, and Ivy...and all the other kiddos that came around. The Puppy Pawty was a great hit. The big kids got to slip and slide, while the little kiddos ran like crazy. The party was at a park, so there was plenty of room to run and lots for the children to enjoy! We had a great visit...just wished we all lived a little bit closer!

Thank you Lord for another wonderful year you've blessed these two great guys with and may this upcoming year be a blessing to them both as well as those in their lives!

I just had to share this with you guys...

This morning I was folding and putting away clothes. I asked Andy if he would go

and put his white shirt in his drawer in his room. The next thing I knew, he had some of his clean clothes, my clean clothes, and Billy's and they were all in his drawer in his room. It was so funny to watch him as he helped me put away the clothes. Absolutely priceless!!! I love this little guy!!!

Boat time!

Yes...this is my child playing with a fish...a dead fish at that!!! The fish kept slipping out of Andy's hand and he kept wanting me to get the fish for him...he knew better! Andy finally started asking his de-de-da to help him with that one...momma DOES NOT touch fish, much less dead ones!!! HA!!! Again another funny moment!

Last weekend, the three of us were invited to join some of our friends in northern Mississippi at their lake house. First of all, it was absolutely beautiful up there!!! As were riding in Rob's boat, the scenery was just magnificent. It was just a perfect day for boating. Andy enjoyed his first boat ride and loved helping Billy drive the boat!!! We were also able to play at the edge of the water...that's about as far as Andy would go! HA!!! We are looking forward to our next trip to Rob and Linda's lake house!!!

What a weekend! We made a last minute decision and headed to Birmingham for a couple of days and had a ball! Being there sure made me miss being near and living in a city. Birmingham was wonderful...so much life there!!! We enjoyed some shopping and good food Friday night and then met up for breakfast Saturday with some good friends. After we ate, we headed to the zoo. Oh we had a blast...I think I enjoyed it just as much as the kids did! It has been years since I've been to a zoo. Once we drove back home, we were in full force and played hard outside til dark! Church on Sunday and then a LONG nap for Andy...well all three of us!!!

What a fun weekend. MawMaw and PawPaw came to visit us this weekend. The weekend started off great...Billy and I got to have us a date night Friday night. Whoo Hoo....hadn't had one of those in a while! We enjoyed some yummy sushi and attempted a movie. The movie was playing kind of late for us so we just rode around town for awhile! Saturday we all rode around Columbus and looked at the old homes in the area and then drove to Starkville and checked out Mississippi State's campus. Once we got home, it was time for some serious yard work. Billy and Mr. Lynn raked and burned pine needles. Later that afternoon, Mr. Loyd(our neighbor) brought over some yummy fried green tomatoes and kindly cleaned up the mess(tall grass, branches, weeds, etc.) next to our house with his trusty tractor. Boy is the yard looking good now. Thanks for all the help...the Gothreaux's yard is on it's way to winning Yard of the Year. Whoo Hoo! HA!!!

This past weekend we headed to Meadville, MS for a family reunion. We had a great time and got to visit with lots of family! Andy enjoyed the open fields to run, swing, ride the four wheelers and tractors until his little heart was content...or until Mommy and Daddy had had enough!!!

Funny Story

For the past few days Andy and I have gone swimming with a friend and her three children. We've had a blast and Andy is loving the water more and more. This morning while we were getting ready to head out to the pool, I told him we were going to bring some toys to play with. I told him it would be fun to play with some beach balls. So as I was getting our bag ready, he rolls my massive exercise ball for me to pack. It was so funny. Little Andy bringing this huge ball! Andy insisted we bring it, but once he saw it didn't fit in our bag, he was cool with the other balls we packed. I wished I would have snapped a picture...priceless.

Friday: Andy's eating habits are so much like Billy's! It's too funny to watch sometimes. Andy is enjoying his first egg roll...he liked it much better then the fried rice!

Saturday: Billy helped a good friend put together a new swing set...while they worked so hard in the heat, the kiddos played in the rocks, water, and just enjoyed running everywhere outside! Yes, my child would be only one wanting to keep his tennis shoes and socks on while playing on a slip-n-slide!

Sunday: Happy Father's Day!!! Andy is so blessed to have Billy as his daddy! What a special role he plays in Andy's life!!! We love you very much! Andy painted a ice cream bowl for Billy-well he painted to the gold part! The third picture is of Andy eating a peanut butter cup...again one of Billy's all time favorite candies!!!

Beach Trip 2010

This past week, we headed to Destin with my family(My parents and my brother's family). We had a great time and enjoyed the beautiful weather. It did rain just about every day, but it was still really pretty and we were able to play outside daily. Here are several pictures of our trip.

This past weekend, we headed to Eunice for a fun filled visit. Saturday morning Uncle Moon spotted a momma turtle in MawMaw and PawPaw's yard. We all went to take a peak at the turtle and much to our surprise, she was in the process of laying her eggs...5 we think. It was really cool to see the whole process! Sadly, Momma turtle didn't cover her eggs before she crawled back to the pond, and before we knew it some animal had taken the eggs.

I just had to share this picture. Andy figured out how to move the gate on the stairs. So on this picture he is sitting on the stairs "explaining" himself as to why he's on the stairs...a place he knows he's not suppose to be! I should have videoed it...it was cute, but of course now we have to figured out a new game plan for the gate and stairs.

Saturday afternoon Andy and I were coloring and Andy found some animal stickers in his color bucket. The stickers have always been there, but he just found them interesting that day. This past weekend, we went to the Air Show at the Air Force Base here in Columbus. We had a great time and Andy had a blast!!! It was a big production and lots of room for Andy to RUN around. He loved every minute of it! We did check out some cool planes and helicopters, but of course our child was much more interested in the grass, the painted pavement, and the port-a-potties...yes those stinky things. He was fascinated with them! Andy loved his first Air Show.

This weekend Columbus had its annual Market Street Festival. They blocked off all of downtown and had booths set of with local businesses and there were games and rides for the children. It was a really neat experience. Andy loved all the music that was played...he danced and danced! He also enjoyed the petting zoo-our first experience in one. Let's just saw Andy did a LOT better then Mommy! He loved chasing and poking the chickens. He was fascinated with the chicken's red gobbler thing. He was a little to creepy for me! Andy also enjoyed the train ride. He made a friend and hated to get off once the ride was over. Saturday was fun filled! Today was another wonderful day...Mother's Day. It was a special day. I was so thrilled when we dropped Andy off in the nursery at church. He first pointed to his classroom and then pointed to the trucks he wanted to play with. He was pumped about playing with the cars and trucks at church. Oh, I teared up...Andy didn't cry this morning, buy Momma sure did! I was so proud of our little man. The ladies in the nursery are wonderful and such an answered prayer! Each Sunday is getting better and better for Andy...and us. Yay! Then this afternoon we enjoyed being outside with one another. Finally to end a wonderful day, Billy cooked us a "breakfast" dinner. Ooh I love me a good omelet. He did a fantastic job.

Andy is definitely all boy! No, I'm not complaining AT ALL...I just think it's so cute and oh so different from the little girls we've recently been around. I think it's incredible to see how the Lord, at such an early age, gives little boys the desire to like cars, airplanes, trucks, etc and how they like to be rough and oh so loud (well at least my little boy)! And then to watch little girls...they only like to stay outside just a few minutes or would rather play dolls or house then with blocks or cars...amazing and just so precious to watch! Thank you Lord for the children you've blessed us with and how they are precious in Your sight!

Andy enjoyed some pudding his cousin Jaylin gave him...it ended up all over him. Hmm...I wonder if he tasted any and if any actually made it to his mouth?

The kiddos got the biggest kick out of watching the live crawfish!!!

This past weekend was the annual Stewart "work" weekend and crawfish boil. We all met at Granny's and were ready to work all day Saturday. But due to bad weather that we were all anticipating, Dad, Chaney, Kris, and Micah got after the yard work Friday. They worked so hard and got it all accomplished in one day. So for the rest of us when we got there...we enjoyed the beautiful weather all day Saturday. Thankfully, the Lord blessed us with wonderful weather...not one drop of rain all weekend!!! Yay! Thank you Lord for the sunshine! That afternoon, the men boiled up some yummy crawfish. They were so delicious! We had a great weekend catching up with family.

This past week Andy had a play date with Montana and Sage. A good friend of mine, Jamie, who lives in Alabama, brought her two little ones...Montana and Sage to play with Andy for the day. Boy did they have a blast! Andy was so excited to show and share all his toys with them. Montana and Andy enjoyed tickling one another too...well Montana enjoyed tickling and Andy enjoyed giggling. Andy still hasn't "learned" how to tickle yet. But needless to say the three kiddos had a blast. We are looking forward to our visit to Birmingham in the very near future.

Andy and I, along with Mimi and Poppy just got back from our trip to Duncan, OK. We had a great visit. Jaylin and Andy had fun playing together. J was so excited Andy was there. She showed him all her toys and was eager for him to play with them ALL at once. It was so cute to watch them interact throughout our stay. Baby Zander is such a WONDERFUL baby. He's so good, you don't even know he's there! His cry sounds like a kitten meowing. He's so cute...we think he looks like Sheena's brother. While we were in Duncan, Sheena and I took Jaylin and Andy to the library for a "reading time." Let's just say, girls are much more attentive then boys! We also played outside a lot. Both Jaylin and Andy enjoyed the beautiful weather...no I think we all loved the sun shining and the warmer temp! Everyone had a great visit... just wish we lived closer!

Trip to Eunice

After we left Luling, we met up with Uncle Moon, MawMaw, and PawPaw for a great Valentine's lunch in Baton Rouge. We sure do miss Baton Rouge, along with the yummy food, great shopping, and all that Baton Rouge has to offer! After saying good-bye to Uncle Moon, we hung out with MawMaw and Paw Paw for a few days in Eunice. Andy was able to see some E-I's up close. AKA-COWS, which he absolutely loves. We also made a grandma run and Andy was able to show them his latest tricks. We ended our stay in Eunice with a trip to PawPaw's work.

The three of us headed to Luling to hang out with Mom and Dad. Billy and I were able to have a "date night" and celebrated my birthday while we were there. We enjoyed some shopping, yummy food, and snuck in a good movie too! While we were in Luling, we also introduced Andy to Mardi Gras. He went to his first parade...the Luling Parade. He seemed to really like it. He loved the music and watching the floats, trucks, and tractors go by. He caught two footballs just his size and held onto those the entire parade.

Look at Andy's new art work... I noticed the teeth marks in his bed just the other day when he got up from his nap! I guess he got bored waiting on me to come or maybe it just felt good on his gums...who knows!!! Andy is super busy and as you can see he was worn out the other day and took a rest on the empty diaper box! It was hilarious watching him just chilling on the box in the living room! Andy still loves to read and do lots of puzzles and now enjoys climbing on and into whatever he can get his hands on! He's a character and is getting ready to go on a road trip! Merry Christmas Y'all! We hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful time of year and remembering the real reason we're celebrating! The three of us have had a great December. Andy is growing too fast and keeps us super busy! He still loves to read. You'll see in a few pictures Andy's sitting in his "reading" chair in his room. He's still not to sure how much he likes his chair! He loves to help with whatever is going on...helping me unload the dishwasher! Such a big boy! There are several pictures of Andy by our Christmas tree. He's doing great with it and doesn't really bother the tree to much...he only seems to play with a few ornaments(ones that are fine to play with). Hope everyone enjoys their families and Christmas! Well time has gone by WAY to fast and now our little guy is already one year old. I can't believe it. He had a wonderful first birthday at the BCM, the day LSU played Arkansas! Whew! What a game...sure glad we pulled that one out! Andy had lots of his little friends and family come to celebrate with him on his special day!!!! The little ones played by doing Old MacDonald puzzles, making sticker books, and reading farm books. Oh what fun they had!!! We had some yummy gumbo thanks to Mrs. Janet and Uncle Moon, along with some side ideas provided by Mom and Granny. Thanks everyone!!! I think Andy had a blast and it was so wonderful seeing everyone!!!

While Billy was away working in Bloomington, Illinois, Andy and I did some visiting. We went to Eunice and hung out with Maw Maw and Paw Paw. Boy did Andy have fun. Andy got to visit with both Maw Maw and Paw Paw at work. He also helped Maw Maw unload the dishwasher and helped Paw Paw pick satsumas. Andy had a lot of fun playing with them too. He also got to visit his GG and Great Maw Maw. He had fun exploring at their homes. Andy even got to play with his cousin Noah while he was at GG's.

We spent Halloween in Luling with Lindsey and her little girl McKinney! Oh did Andy love watching all the big kids trick-or-treat. He was my little lion who didn't like to wear his hat. The three of us are finally getting settled in our new home in Columbus, MS. It sure was sad saying good-bye to our friends in Monticello. We have lots of great memories there and of course it will always be special because that's where Andy's first home was! Here in Columbus things are going well. Billy's loving his job and really enjoys the people he's getting to work with. We have begun visiting churches and are praying to meet good friends there. Columbus is going to be a wonderful place to live and is now the Gothreaux's new home.

Fun Weekend

Last weekend, the three of us headed down south to Eunice. Billy's high school was having their annual softball tourney where all the different classes played one another! It was a lot of fun getting to meet all his old buddies. Billy was a proud daddy and got to show off little Andy to everyone as well! We did lots of visiting with the fam. Andy got to meet cousin William for the first time...now that he's 9 months old and William's almost 8 months. Whoops! The two were cute together and played well! Stuck in the middle!

OK so Billy and I thought we had it good and all figured out. We thought we'd just set Andy with his toys in one location and he'd crawl around 4 or 5 times and then stop and play. Well that's not the case any longer! He's on the move!!! He went in the laundry room and got stuck in between the case of water and the vacuum. He's followed us in the bathroom while we're getting ready. He recently has made his way to the kitchen and tried to be a big helper and help unload the dishwasher! It's exciting and such a special time for both Billy and me to watch as our little Andy is growing up! Also, I put in a few pictures of Andy eating some ice cream. I'm not exactly sure how he likes it, but I think he likes chocolate better then vanilla! Go figure-both his mommy and daddy love chocolate so much more then vanilla!

Last week, Billy, Andy, Mimi, and I all drove to Branson for some fun and SHOPPING. Although Billy had some meetings to attend, he still had lots of fun too! Oh my goodness...I haven't been to Branson since I was a kid and boy how things have changed. Not only was it really pretty there, there was so much shopping to be done! Right outside our hotel was the boardwalk, lots of outdoor stores. YAY!!! It was very nice. There was music playing and different water shows that Andy just loved! Andy also loved all the people watching he was able to do!

We enjoyed each other's company, along with a good ole game of Scategories. Moon and Billy relived their childhood and brought out the old ball and gloves. They had fun playing catch in the heat! Fun at the Camp

Last weekend, we all drove to Meadville, MS and stayed the weekend at Uncle Glenn's camp. We had a blast. Andy LOVED being outside and playing with his little cousins...well they aren't so little anymore. Grant's 10, Brandon's 12, and Taylor's already 15. They are growing so fast. Andy was also able to meet Aunt Pat and Uncle Buddy. He just loved when Unlce Bud held him...I think he liked being up so high where he could see everything! We all had a great time playing lots of games. We played badminton, boche ball, rode the four wheeler, and of course played Scrabble. On Saturday, we hosted the Emfinger Reunion at Uncle Glenn's camp. We had a great turn out and got to see lots of relatives. Fun! Fun! Fun! Then on Sunday, we went to the Arnold Reunion. It's always nice to visit with family members. It's just a shame that we usually only see them once a year! Kind of sad-you know.

Vacation with Maw Maw and Paw Paw

Last week, Billy, Andy, Maw Maw, Paw Paw, and I all went to Hot Springs for a fun filled get-away! We sure did have a great time together. We were able to do some sight seeing, swimming, and not to mention some shopping. We laughed a lot and enjoyed watching and playing with Andy. Andy had a good time swimming at our hotel pool and watching all the kiddos as they swam too! He didn't miss anything!!!! He also loved playing with his tractor set that Maw Maw and Paw Paw gave him. He got so excited when Paw Paw would count "1...2...3" and then let the tractor go. Andy would just squeal and squeal as the tractor would move towards him. Andy also started tummy crawling while we were in Hot Springs. Paw and Paw and Daddy really gave Andy a workout. They would move some of Andy's favorite toys away from him to make him crawl towards them. It was soooo cute and we were all so excited for Andy. We clapped and cheered him on the whole time they were playing. We came back to our house Saturday afternoon (July 4th) and played some more. We grilled burgers and the best sausage ever....LeJeune's and watched Andy swim in his turtle pool.

Billy and I went to San Fran a couple of weeks ago. We packed lots of touristy things into only a few days! It was super duper chilly while we were there and we didn't expect how uphill everything was! It was quite a workout!We rode across the Golden Gate Bridge, toured Alcatraz, rode the trolley car, saw lots of sea lions, walked down Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf, and took in the rest of the sites. We enjoyed our little trip considering this was our first time to visit San Francisco.

A couple of weeks ago, Mom, Dad, Micah, Sheena, Jaylin, John, and the three of us all went to the beach. We had a great time. I think we all relaxed and soaked up some rays while we were there. We played lots of games as well (our norm- a little Scrabble, Wii, Trivial Pursuit, and Putt-Putt). Andy and Jaylin both loved the water. They spent lots of time splashing and playing in the baby pool we brought. Andy started teething while we there so we had a couple of rough days, but other then that Andy's first beach trip was wonderful!

Eunice Visit

Before we headed to the beach, we went to Eunice to visit! Andy not only got to visit with Maw Maw and Paw Paw, but he got to see his two great grandmothers, several great aunts, and cousins. Andy got to meet his cousin, Noah, who is only one week younger then Andy. We had a wonderful visit. Baby Dedication

Today was Baby Dedication at our church. It was wonderful! It was such a special time for Billy and me and meant a lot being that it took place on Mother's Day. What a great thing to be a parent, but what a huge responsibility the Lord has given us both in raising our little Andy. He's such a blessing and joy! We are thrilled to be able to teach him all about our Savior!! Andy's MawMaw and PawPaw were also able to share this special time with us. They were able to attend the Baby Dedication too. What a wonderful and memorable day! Andy did great...he was easily entertained by all the people and the talking.

OK... not to sure if we like our green beans!!! This was our third day of eating our green beans and for some reason Andy's not to convinced they are his favorites...where's the squash or carrots!

Here are some fun pics that were taken around the house in Monticello. We are enjoying Andy as he is approaching 6 months. Boy, where has the time gone? Andy is now rolling as often as possible. He is also sitting up to play with his toys! Big Boy!!! Andy loves to play outside too. We are outside as much as we can be. He likes to listen to the birds. We have some animals that play in our backyard occasionally so we like to look at the cats, bunnies, and even the deer.

Andy's first plane ride

The three of us flew to Virginia for a few days. It was so pretty there! Neither Billy nor I had been there before and we couldn't get over how beautiful it was! Andy did wonderful on the plane! He played and talked to the people sitting next to us! He did great!!!!

I thought this pic was so cute. I look at it and think they are both like, "Get us off this 20 passenger plane before we sweat to death!"It was extremely hot since the air wasn't working on this plane and we sat in the last row by the window! Too funny!!!

Aloha! Billy and I went to Hawaii and tried to relax and enjoy the beauty there. It was quite difficult because our little Andy wasn't with us. He was though in good hands . Billy and I had nothing at all to worry about since stayed with Mimi and Poppy and Maw Maw and Paw Paw. It just wasn't the same without our little smiling and jabbering boy with us! While we were in Hawaii, Billy and I saw Pearl Harbor, had dinner on the US Missouri, saw beautiful water falls, saw a volcano, and walked some trails along the coast. It was just beautiful while we were there.

This is how we were greeted as we got off the airplane.

It was cool, the Admiral of the Pacific Fleet was at Pearl Harbor showing an Australian commander around while we were there.

We got a jeep for the day and toured water falls and saw a volcano. It was awesome!

Andy's first Easter was great! He enjoyed all a 4 month old could. Ha! The three of us enjoyed a rainy day together in Monticello. We played and read together. It was a very relaxing day.

This is Andy's Easter outfit. He was in such a great mood all day! He just smiled and talked til his little heart was content!!! Billy and I loved it!!!

Yay! Yummy carrots!!!!!!!!!! We have since moved on to squash and he loves it just as much as the yummy carrots! Unfortunately I can't say the same for green peas yet! Ha!!!

Little squirt discovered he could roll over ANYWHERE and he did just that. He rolled over on his changing table. He thought it was the funniest thing as you can tell by his experssion. (I think he knew he was doing something that Mommy wouldn't like very much and thought it was just so funny!)

The three of us went to Stran's 5th birthday party on Saturday. Stran is a huge Razorback fan so needless to say we saw lots of red and white that day. The theme of the party was the Razorbacks and everyone was suppose to dress in their favorite Razorback gear. That is, except three of the guests... Billy and I didn't go overboard. He sported his LSU cap and I wore my LSU tennis shoes, but as for Andy-he was covered with purple and gold from head to toe. We didn't get harassed to bad! We had a great time at Stran's party. That will make Andy's third party since he's been born! Yay!

Here are some of the newest pictures we've taken of Anderson! Wow, how time has gone by! He's getting so big and is becoming more and more active and is extremely alert and attentive! His newest toy that he has started playing with is his Baby Einstein stationary play gym. Andy loves all the different toys it has and especially loves the ones that make a noise. He's even learning a little Spanish! Yay!!!! Billy and I continue to enjoy each day with him and love getting to experience the milestones along the way!

Last night, before it was time to put Andy down to bed, Billy started singing praise songs and hymns to him. It was absolutely precious!!! Billy would sing and then Andy would add to the song- in his own way of course! Billy and I got so tickled because Andy was so into the song and was trying so hard to sing for us. It won't be long before he's actually talking to us. We had a lot of fun last night and again had our "family song time" before bed tonight.

Uncle Moon came to visit!

We were so excited because last weekend, Uncle Moon came to visit. He's been working so hard lately and he finally had a weekend off. Yeah! We were pumped to find out that he was going to make the trip and stay the weekend with us. Andy loves his Uncle Moon and enjoyed playing and talking to him. We ended up watching movies, a little b-ball, and grilling.

Last week, Andy and I traveled with Billy to Jonesborro and Little Rock. It was a great week, but we were very thrilled to get home and be in our own beds. Here are a few pictures of Andy and Daddy "working."

Our First Birthday Party!

Andy was invited to his first birthday party! Our good friends, Danny and Monica's little girl, Chesney, turned 3 today! She invited Andy to her "princess" party! It was so cute and all the little girls were precious! Andy was way out numbered, but had a blast anyways. The party was outside, which Andy loved. He watched as the tree branches swayed back and forth as the girls played in their play house. He was pooped afterwards and fell asleep in his swing soon after we got home. He's a mess and growing way to fast!!!! Andy will be 4 months on the 17th... I can't believe how fast time has gone by!

Oklahoma Trip

Andy and I went with Mom and Dad to visit Micah, Sheena, Jaylin, and John in Oklahoma this past week. Andy did great traveling that far... we did have to stop 7 times along the way! Yes, I did say 7 times. Poor little guy, all strapped in his car seat for 10 hours, I know he was ready to get there! Once we got to their house, he did awesome and adapted very well. We all had a very nice stay.We played lots of Wii Fit and Scrabble. Mimi and Poppy were loving every minute while we were there. It was just perfect. Usually when one baby was sleeping, the other one was awake. So Mom would juggle from one baby to the other. Both Jaylin and Andy are growing and changing so much. Jaylin's big trick was to hold up both of her feet on command. She's eating lots of different foods and loving them all... especially the prunes! We are looking forward to our next visit when we'll all be going to the beach.

Maw Maw and Paw Paw come to visit

Maw Maw and Paw Paw came to visit us a few weeks ago. Part of Andy's Valentine's gift was a red and white puppy. He absolutely loves this puppy. He plays with it, kisses it, and licks the mess out of it. It's so cute to watch him! We also hung out outside. Billy got Andy some sunglasses... some cool State Farm sunglasses. Like always, the visits with family are so fun, but come and go so quickly. We had a wonderful visit and are ready to see them again.

Happy Little Boy

Anderson is officially 2 months old and is ready to get out and SHOP... well at least momma is! Andy got his shots this past Monday and did great (a whole lot better then mommy)! He cried for just a bit at the initial stick and then settled down. Everything was made better with the help of some TLC and Tylenol! Anderson is getting super big. He's up to 13 lbs and 22 1/2 in. He is smiling all the time and making lots of cute little noises. He also is liking his "tummy time" more and more. I must say something we've noticed is that he is definitely a morning person... just like his daddy! He is so active and loves to know what's going on... just like his daddy... and mommy! Billy and I are loving every minute of being parents and wonder what would life be like without our little man!

8 Weeks Old

Anderson is now 8 weeks old, but won't be officially 2 months old until the 17th. He is so precious and growing daily. Andy is smiling and making lots of noises these days. He is already wearing 3 month size clothes. He also loves to listen to music. I played one of his Baby Einstein videos for him the other day and he was fascinated with the music. Here are a few pictures of him while we were in Shreveport with my family for Christmas and other random pictures taken at the house.

Here they are... cousin Jaylin and Andy. They both had a great 1st Christmas. We all had so much fun. Our holidays and get-togethers will never be the same again. Yeah!

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. Andy had a wonderful 1st Christmas. He got to meet lots of family and friends. For Christmas we were in Eunice staying with Billy's family. We had a blast. During our stay, Andy was able to meet great grandmas, great aunts and uncles, and cousins. He loved it! My parents, Grandma, and Aunt Christi and Uncle Glenn came to Eunice Thursday afternoon and visited with Andy too. Here are a few pics from our stay in Eunice. We head to Shreveport later this week to have Christmas with my side of the family. The fun never seems to stop!!! YEAH!!!

Growing like a weed!

Hey everyone!
Our little Anderson is growing like a weed. He's almost 10 pounds after we visited the doctor for his month old check-up. Andy is a healthy and happy little boy. The latest thing Andy has been doing is smiling and laughing a lot. It's so exciting to see and hear him make his little noises. We are so blessed. Here's a little video of Anderson enjoying his tummy time... not really. He doesn't seem to like it at all!

First Outing

Ok so I was told not to get Anderson out of the house for 2 months, but you know we just needed stamps, and to mail some bills, and Billy just needed his dry cleaning!!! SO.... I thought Andy and I were up for the challenge. Let me just say it was wonderful to get out of the house and not to mention it was a beautiful day! It was sunny and not very cold at all. We ran our few errands and little bit slept the entire time. I think he's going to do great in a few weeks when we are on the road visiting family for Christmas!

Thanksgiving

Here we are at Thanksgiving with the fam! Andy got to meet his aunt, uncle, and baby cuz Jaylin. Introducing Anderson Alexander

Hey everyone!!!

Well Billy and I have been blessed with a wonderful gift. For those you haven't heard, Anderson was born November 17 at 8:15pm. He was 20 inches long and weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces. For the first two weeks of his little life we had family at our house to meet him and help Billy and me out. It was so nice to have family here during those weeks. I didn't realize just how worn out I would be. Things have been wonderful with Andy here. He is doing great and growing. I think he's going through a growth spurt. He's eating all the time. He's adorable and we can't wait for you all to meet him. Here are a few pictures from when he was born up until now.

We went to the doctor this afternoon and it looks like little Gothreaux is in no hurry to enter this crazy world, but we are planning to induce and begin the process Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. Billy and I will then get to meet our little bundle of joy sometime that day... hopefully... on Aunt Jo's birthday. The Anticipation Builds

Hello everyone! Well we are three days away from our official due date. We go back to the doctor on Thursday and if our little man hasn't entered the world yet, we will schedule an induction. We have been walking, eating Mexican food, and I heard even fish will speed up the process, but our little one will arrive on his own timing. While I have been trying to sleep and stay comfortable, Billy has been so patient and encouraging. He also has been busy studying for a test for work. Poor Bill! He's been put through the ringer these last few days... I know he's ready for Little Gothreaux to be born too. We will keep you all posted with any future news.

I can't believe we are four weeks away from meeting our little boy. Actually it could be sooner. Oh my! I just can't believe how time has just flown by. Billy has been busy getting all the necessities put together and ready for Baby G's big day! He really enjoyed the chair that Baby G's Mimi and Poppy gave him this past weekend. Billy said he was going to have to get him one too!

First Baptist Shower

Sunday, many friends and family members gathered together and expressed their love by giving us a baby shower. It was awesome and again such a blessing. My amazing co-workers were so sweet and thoughtful to give me a baby shower. It was such a great time. Everyone was so generous and extremely giving! It was a wonderful time to catch up and visit outside of work. The Lord is so good and has revealed himself to me in so many situations through these last eight months. These next four weeks are going to fly by, but I know just like the Lord has protected me through the course of my pregnancy, He'll do the same through labor and delivery.

Fun in Eunice

Sunday was a blessing too! Due to the most recent hurricane, my shower in Eunice was postponed. It was rescheduled for Sunday, September 28. It was a beautiful shower! Everything done and everyone helping were so thoughtful. Receiving such wonderful things really made it more real that within 5 weeks I'll be a mommy!!! Thanks to everyone who has been involved in this special time in our life. We couldn't have made it without you guys! Keep us in your prayers as the arrival of Baby Gothreaux gets closer!
